Lambic & Waffles & Chocolate, oh my!

Brussels was definitely on the list of places to visit this year, and a 30 euro round-trip flight sealed the deal.  One last weekend before the final push of school; one last chance to delve into all things gastronomically wonderful about Belgium.  In other words, beer.

Meeting two partners in crime, Daniel and Yorgos, over the sad excuse for a hostel breakfast that first morning definitely added to the enjoyment of the city.  We walked everywhere, toured breweries, ate Greek, Indian and fabulous Ethiopian on top of the usual Belgian suspects and worked our way through the beer cafes of the city.  I discovered new and old favourites, spoke French to my heart's content and laughed more than I have in months at the antics at these two best friends.  After the past three months of living in black and white, those three days in Belgium have started to bring back the technicolour.
